Tucson Community Expands It's Web Presence
With the help of Drive Thru Designs, two local organizations dedicated to furthering the education of the Tucson community are launching web sites this spring. Both organizations are in the non-profit sector, and have expanded their operations to a web-based medium in order to better inform their respective audiences.
In mid-March, Southern Arizona Professional Developers (SAPD) launched their web site allowing participants to view meeting times and training events 24 hours a day. The goal of SAPD remains "to plan and implement professional development opportunities for educators in Pima County in order to best utilize resources" (excerpt taken from www.TheSAPD.org). "We were very excited to extend our services to the Pima County educational system," adds Drive Thru Designs' owner Rick Breslin. "I'm glad we were able to utilize our web design and development skills as a contribution to the community."
The Arizona Cyber Security Initiative is an alliance consisting of members in the Tucson technology community, and will also launch a site in mid-April. The site’s objective is to educate small businesses in Arizona about computer network security and vulnerability. Drive Thru Designs will provide the alliance with a dynamic web site complete with the latest resources and event listings.
